- Light. Loves bright light, happiest with some direct sun. A sudden change in light or temperature makes it drop leaves. It grows them back, so don't panic.
📝 log
- 2026-06-14. Trimmed it back and stuck 2 to 3 cuttings in the compost area. They're rooting and growing.
🌿 identification
Confirmed Ficus microcarpa 'Ginseng'. The fat, exposed pot-bellied aerial-root base plus small glossy oval leaves are unmistakable (see IMG_2111, IMG_2620). Sold widely as a starter bonsai. Sap is toxic to pets.
