🪴 care
- Light Full sun keeps it tight and gold. It tips orange/red in strong sun and cool weather; shade turns it floppy green.
📝 log
- 2026-06-14: Kept the lifted carpet as one big piece instead of chopping it up, so it keeps expanding and I can propagate off it.
🌿 identification
Confirmed Sedum rupestre 'Angelina'. Whorled, needle-like chartreuse leaves form a dense mat. The two candidates (cold-hardy 'Angelina' vs tender S. mexicanum) look near-identical, but yours overwinters outdoors in the gravel garden and keeps spreading (Dec/Jan photos). Tender mexicanum would have died back. That cold-hardiness plus the golden needle foliage pins it to 'Angelina'. Non-toxic to cats and dogs.
